2007: White Canceled 18 Tour Dates

In 2007: White canceled 18 tour dates, an action that resulted in a lot of disappointed fans. The White Stripes canceled those upcoming performances due to the illness of Meg White, the band's drummer. She was said to suffer from acute anxiety attacks, which made it difficult to play and travel.
Acute anxiety
Acute anxiety is a medical condition characterized by outbreaks of fear and physical symptoms, such as a rapid heart rate, chest pain and heart palpitations. Dizziness also results from acute panic attacks. Some doctors prefer to refer to the condition as Panic Disorder, but the two are one and the same. Meg White revealed that she is very shy and likes to keep to herself. She is committed to keeping her personal life private but sincerely apologized to the fans for canceling the tour dates.
The tour
The White Stripes toured across Canada in 2007 and played shows in White Horse and Yellowknife. They ended in St. Johns and were scheduled to play in Hawaii. The Hawaii show, along with 18 others, was called off. Among the canceled shows included concerts scheduled in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and London. Luckily, fans who purchased tickets were able to get refunds from the point of purchase.
The White Stripes regretted the sudden cancellation of their tour dates in 2007. Meg and Jack publicly apologized to fans on their website and asked for their continued loyalty during their time of hardship. No announcement was made at the time regarding future tour dates.
